Haoua – Bringing Online STEM Education to Algeria

Haoua is currently studying Electronics and Electrical Engineering at University while also serving as a part time high school STEM teacher. She teaches Technology and Computer science for first grade students. She has reflected, “it was a new challenge to start on teaching in a high school but it is very interesting and it is making me so happy to create lesson plans and explore teaching.

She and her colleague also received their grant from the US Embassy Algiers on their Online Education Program and have officially started developing the virtual education project to support students and teachers across Algeria with online STEM curricula. Currently, they are working on the first content of the instructional videos as well as marketing. Haoua is also currently applying to international universities to pursue studying Electrical Engineering to further expand on my Technical and Teaching skills.

Haoua is an exemplary TechGirl alumnae using her STEM skills to give back to her community and support youth and teachers in Algeria during this uncertain time!
